RESEARCH WALL

The Humboldt Labor’s inaugural exhibition, After Nature, deals with the interdependencies of climate change and the loss of biodiversity and with worldwide challenges to democratic principles of order. It pools an entire range of research approaches to these and other current issues and relates them to positions from the history of science.

At the center of the exhibition is the Research Wall, which was created as a participatory stage for science. To represent the ever-changing dynamics of the scientific process, the research wall is constantly undergoing transformation. Along the Research Wall, visitors meet researchers at eye level and become involved in a lively dialogue about the central question of our time: »How do we want to live?«

The research wall is constantly transforming as new surfaces and formats are generated. As dynamic windows, they open up a variety of perspectives and insights behind the scenes of research.

The audience can follow different narrative threads by moving along the staging and following different protagonist and research cases.

A setup of ultra-wide angle projectors and projection mapping generate a seamless, wall-filling image.

The sound scenography is streamed via a multi-channel audio system, which enables the targeted playback of content depending on the position of the visitors along the installation.
